Management Commitment

  • top management are clear what is expected of them
  • consistency of approach and culture

 

Customer Focus

  • ensures customer requirements are adequately defined
  • ensures customer satisfaction are reviewed

 

Quality Policy

  • defines the company’s quality culture
  • guideline for everybody to follow

 

Quality Objectives

  • without objectives how do we measure if we have achieved anything?
  • It clarifies the company’s sense of purpose

 

QMS Planning

  • defines key business processes and key performance measures for the company and it’s departments

 

Responsibilities and Authorities

  • defines what individuals responsibilities and authorities are
  • clarifies accountabilities
  • removes any gray areas

 

Management Representatives

  • ensures that a single member of top manager is accountable for the co- ordination of the system

 

Internal Communication

  • defines the methods of top down, and bottom up communication and askes, “is it good enough?”

 

Management Review

  • ensures that at least annual system reviews are conducted to keep the system alive and well.
